The questions you ask me the most, answered !!
Here are the answers to my most asked questions:
Do you sell your paintings?
Yes I do! I usually take personalised orders but if you see something you like on my social media accounts that you would like to buy, don’t hesitate to get in touch - I would love to hear from you!
Can you let me know where you bought your office supplies/paint material?
I buy my paint tubes from overseas, usually on Amazon. There is however a great alternative here in Mauritius, visit Island Art Supply on Facebook.
My watercolour paper also comes from Amazon. I sometimes buy from Hobby World or Island Art Supply in Mauritius. The cost of buying online has increased a lot recently and what we find here is of good enough quality.
I took the opportunity while in Australia last year to stock up on my office supplies so I won’t have to worry about it for the near future.
You can find nice gold stacking trays like the ones I use in my office at La Foire Fouille.
I had my office shelf produced in Mauritius by a carpenter. Although it is made of steel.
How much does a mural cost?
It is important to understand that murals are an investment. Yes, it does usually cost more than Rs 12K to have your own personalised mural depending on the size you are going for.
A mural takes time, lots of paint and other materials, lots and lots of expertise but also holds a lot of value with the end result. A mural will really compliment your space and add so much light and originality, plus it will last for years and years.
A mural can truly transform a space and turn a white brick wall into something truly magical!
How much does a wedding invitation suite cost?
This question is hard to answer without knowing the quantity of invitations you require. I always ask my future potential brides to fill in this questionnaire. With all the info I will be able to give you a personalised and accurate quote.
Watercolour wedding invitations are so special and precious. This is your opportunity to have your love story painted and remembered. They are a keepsake for sure. The perks of having art on the invitation is that the guests will most likely keep it as a souvenir.
Where did you learn to paint?
I started painting really young and have always had this passion within me. Art was my favourite subject at school!
I took it seriously 3 years ago when starting my own business and with hours upon hours of practice (and I still continue to learn) I have improved my technique.
What is your booking process?
My client booking process starts with a conversation either via email, Facebook or Instagram DMs. Once I have understood your needs, I will work on your personalised quote and send it to you for approval. You will then be entered into my professional CRM online software. I might go deeper into this subject in another blog post :-)
Throughout the project, I make sure to listen to clients’ feedback and deliver exactly what they need. The client should be 100% happy with the end result.
When is your next book coming out?
I am currently working on a new book with Sunniva Bonieux. We will be able to tell you more about it in just a few weeks. The book will be out in October this year. Cannot wait!!
Are you planning to open the shop on your website again?
Yes!!! I am working behind the scenes on new exciting things for you and will open the shop in a few weeks. My aim will be to keep it open all the time. Make sure to stay updated on my social media for when it happens!!
